Established in 1990, Muh Koh Lanta National Park is a marine park in Krabi Province. In Thai, ‘Muh’ means ‘group’ and ‘Koh’ means island, and Muh Koh Lanta National Park is actually located on a group of islands.
The area of the national park is mainly rugged and mountainous, stretching between 20 kilometers of rainforest and forests along the coastlines in Costa Lanta Yai and Kogai. Other islands included within the national park, such as Mai Nagam, South Mai Nagam and Guyana Islands, are covered by mangrove forest.
