You can see around 28 tigers living in this tiger reserve. Apart from tigers, you can also find sambar deer, spotted deer, peacock, leopard, elephant, porcupine, bison and Nilgiri tahr. Bear Path Trail: The Bare Path Trail is a 4 km trekking trail that starts at ‘Nalayiram Point’ which takes one through a vast teak plantation. You can come across the tracks with a sloth bear’s pugmark. At about 500 meters of footpath, you reach the feeding grounds of the sloth bear, which they arrive early in the morning. The trail is covered with teak plantations and bamboo trees.
Pugmark Trail: The Pugmark Trail is for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. There is a great chance of catching a glimpse of the tiger here. This trekking trail of about 10 kilometers starts from Peruvaripallam Earth Dam. On the way, you reach Kanimara Teak, the largest teak in the world and 460 years old. The trail then reaches Thunacadavu and Anappady through teak plantations.
Elephant Song Trekking Trail There are other popular activities planned in the park that bring you closer to the best of the wild.
Cariansola Trail: The Kariyanshola Trail is a 6 km trekking trail that starts from Anappadi and then takes you into the moist deciduous forest inside a deep Permbikulam Tiger Reserve. After a 4 km walk, you enter the dense forest, evergreen forest, which is filled with wildlife. It also includes bamboo rafting and trekking. The trail starts at the Anpadi Information Center at Rock Point and then goes to the giant teak plantations and returns to Anpadi.

by rail: Pollachi Parambikulam is the nearest railway station at a distance of 38 km from the Tiger Reserve. To reach Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, take a private vehicle from the railway station.
